Art Movers
When packing art, it might seem like you could get away with just being “extra-careful,” but packing art really presents its own set of problems. Art can be some of the most expensive pieces in your home, so it’s important to take excellent care of your most valuable items. Art can also be the most difficult items to pack in your home. From large, but flimsy, to heavy and even oddly-shaped, packing art requires a special attention to detail you can only get from a team of professional art movers. An art moving company has all of the means and experience necessary to protect your artwork during your move.
Moving art is more than just trucks, crates, and dollies – it requires special expertise from professional art movers. You might have a single piece of art or a collection of art; but either way, you want safety and security for your belongings. Hiring a team of trusted art movers is essential because of the attention to detail that’s necessary given the situation. These professionals will move your cherished belongings with care, and treat them as if they were their own. The professional art movers that are going to be responsible for your art collection know what it takes to keep your art safe and secure. They have all the professional packing supplies and equipment necessary for successfully executing your move.
Since packing art is more than just wrapping it and putting it in a box, it is important to have a packing strategy that’s tailored to your art pieces. Art movers have access to the best packing supplies to ensure that your art stays safe during transit. For example, using wax or parchment paper as a substitute for glassine paper can damage your art work. You should also use purpose-made packing paper instead of newspapers or packing peanuts as a shock absorber inside the box. These tips and tricks are some that reliable movers are already aware of and hiring them takes the pressure off of yourself.
Once your art is properly packed, it must be loaded onto a moving truck equipped with climate controls. Temperature levels on the truck must be within tolerances, as extremely high temperatures can damage your art. When you hire a professional art moving company, they might use super-insulated trailers to ensure protection, even in extreme environments. These trailers might also come equipped with onboard sensors to monitor conditions inside the trailer while also keeping a record of temperatures.
